CallApp

Time needed: ~5 minutes · Cost: free · Difficulty: easy · Method: web form + email

CallApp (callerapp.net, also known as Sync.Me) is a caller-ID app. It offers an opt-out page on its site, plus email removal. Read the caveat below — their own policy warns that some data may persist.

The law, plainly: until 13 May 2027, India's DPDP erasure right is not enforceable. This request asks CallApp to act voluntarily. It is a formal, dated, documented request.

Exact steps

  1. Go to callerapp.net and find the "Don't want to share your number on callerapp.net?" opt-out link referenced in their terms. Follow it and submit your number for removal.
  2. Also send an email to support@callerapp.net asking to rectify/remove your personal information and delete your account, so the request exists in writing. Template:
Subject: Request to remove my number and delete my data — CallApp

Hello,

I am writing to ask that my phone number be removed from
callerapp.net and that my account and personal data be deleted.

My phone number (with country code): [YOUR NUMBER WITH COUNTRY CODE, e.g. +91 ...]

Please confirm once the removal is complete.

Thank you,
[YOUR NAME]
  1. If you have the CallApp app installed, delete your account in the app as well.
  2. Search for your number again after a few days to verify it is gone.

Honest caveat from their own policy: CallApp's policy states that data from other users or sources may persist despite a deletion request. Removal may not be complete — verify by searching, and re-request if your number is still listed.

What to expect

No processing time is published. In the October 2026 test case that motivated this site, CallApp was still pending after 3 days while other brokers had already complied. Expect this one to take longer — and verify the result yourself rather than trusting a confirmation email.

If it fails, do this instead
